White oak is highly prized in the construction of bokken because of its dense grain and ability to absorb hard strikes. These bokken are solid and feel like real swords - great for practitioners who want to work on dignified and powerful kata. They are also well suited for suburi practice due to their weight. These swords are recommended for confident practitioners who want a solid bokken for kata that feels like a real sword.

Each sword is cut from an individual piece of Japanese white oak grown in Kyushu. It is then shaped at one of the island's famous workshops. As each sword is from a unique piece of wood they possess their own grain and colouring, even amongst the same set, therefore their appearance may differ from the photos presented here. Grouped together as a pair they are cheaper than when purchased individually, we also offer to ship them internationally for free
