Excellent experience with this bogu and Miyako |

I ordered this bogu as an upgrade to my older set. Right from the beginning, I found Mr. Fisher to be extremely responsive to my questions regarding the bogu, and the excellent customer service I received has gone a long way in formulating my opinion of Miyako.
Since it was handmade, it took a while for the order to be completed, but shipping was prompt and the bogu reached within 3 days.
Initially I was concerned about the snug fit of the men, but it has nicely broken in and I have come to appreciate its structure and materials, that have resulted in a lighter bogu (compared to my older set) while offering the same level of comfort and protection.

My new Bogu |

Yesterday I received my new bogu Shinmen by miyako Kendogu.
I am very satisfied with its quality in all its parts.
I must say that the entire staff of Miyako exhibiting the works of art which then named Bogue.
Andy was very happy to discuss with me to the realization of my bogu, it is very personal in all its parts.
The MEN seems not to have it when you wear it, the KOTE are simply fantastic not prevent any movement, the DO .... I have no breath to be able to describe'm loving it right the first time I saw him, and finally the TARE very comfortable.
The whole set of bogu that feeling of having a second skin because the futon indulges your movements without limitation and at the same time it protects you.
I would like to thank Andy in particular ... but also the whole team of Miyako, who helped in the realization of my Bogu set!!

Excellent purchase, the bogu fits perfectly making it feel like my own skin. It is extremely light yet protective making it very comfortable to do kendo in. The best bit is it looks great.
This set is definitely coming with me to the WKC!

Excellent Bogu with the service to match! |

Both the Kote and Men fit very, very nicely and are extremely comfortable. The shorter mendare on the men are not restrictive at all and the diagonal stitching really help with the mendare's flexibility. The kote fit the hand very well, without restricting movement meaning waza can be executed fluidly.
The tare is both flexible and light and during keiko, it is hardly noticeable.
The doh is simple stunning, both in the way it look and the way it feels. It fits perfectly, without being too tight or too large.
Overall, the bogu is light and sturdy. It can be used as a keiko bogu and competition bogu. I would highly recommend this set to those who want a bogu that they can use for any purpose.
As for the service, Andy responded quickly and politely to the many questions I had. He was more than happy to discuss options with me and offer suggestions on better alternatives.
