It is well known that Kendo is a popular activity amongst Police officers in Japan. In many prefectures there are specialist Kendo teams, known as the Tokuren, who are designated at the Police force's 'specialist' Kendoka. These officers, often become the best players in Japan, achieving victory in the All Japans and the World Championships. 

The Tozando Group have supplied many of Japan's Tokuren players with equipment over the years, and based on the custom specifications that they select, Miyako Kendogu are now able to offer the ultimate in Jissengata Bogu. 

This Bogu is made here in Japan, at our headquarters in Nishijin, Kyoto, by our highly skilled and experienced craftsmen. This set is lightweight and strong, whilst at the same time remaining understated and stylish. As this Bogu set is made by us, and not sourced from a supplier, it is exclusively available and can not be found elsewhere.
 
Please be aware that each Bogu set is custom made, and like any tailor-made item, a great deal of time and effort goes into producing each one. This is not a 'run of the mill' bogu, and because we are providing you with the very best quality and perfect fit this Bogu can not, and will not be sold 'off the shelf'. Please be aware that in order for us to deliver a top quality, hand-crafted bogu set that delivery may take some time. Please expect to wait approximately 2-6 months for shipping, depending on the specific options you have chosen. We will advise of a more accurate delivery time at the point of order.

THE PAYMENT PLAN REQUIRES PAYMENT BY CREDIT/DEBIT CARD - Payment by PayPal is NOT possible.
 
How it works -
  • You pay the initial payment of 39,150 JPY plus the first monthly installment of 10,850 JPY as listed below at the time of placing your order.
  • Your Card will automatically be charged on a monthly basis, beginning approximately one month from the day you placed the initial order.
  • Once all payments have been made we will ship your order, provided it is ready. PLEASE NOTE - WE WILL NOT SHIP YOUR ORDER UNTIL ALL PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.
  • You may pay off the entire balance at any time, by simply contacting us. There are no charges or fees for doing this.
Points to Note - 
  • The easy-payment-plan is aimed at making owning customised Kendo Bogu more affordable to all Kendoka. IT IS NOT A CREDIT SERVICE, more it is a means to spread the cost you would normally pay up-front over a series of months. Although we DO NOT CHARGE INTEREST, some Credit card issuers may charge handling fees for international transactions. Please be aware that any fees or interest charged by your card issuer are NOT the responsibility of Miyako Kendogu.
  • The Initial Payment is taken in order to cover the initial costs of producing a custom made Bogu set. This payment is NON-REFUNDABLE and if you cease to make payments to your payment-plan, we will be forced to cease production of your order until payments resume. As previously stated we are not issuing credit, and if you are struggling to make a payment simply contact us and we will happliy re-coordinate your plan.
  • Further payments on your order will be used to cover the ongoing costs of production, and therefore they are also NON-REFUNDABLE. We advise all customers to ensure they can afford all payments before comitting to the order.

Men – IBB Dura Pro Mengane (grille),Choice of ago design, Indigo dyed deer skin Heri (border finishing), 2.0 Bu stitch widthwith Orizashi Futon finished with a Fukuronui seam. Shortened Men dare, with Diagonal stitching.
Kote – Full Orizashi Yoroigata Kobushi (Fist) with deluxe deer skin Tenouchi (palms). 1.5 bu diagonally stitched Orizashi futon.
Do – 50 Piece Black Yamato Dodai, top quality Kurozan Mune (chest guard) with choice of Mune design.
