Very interesting shinai. with good balance and massive, heavy hits. Very good for advance users.

These shinai are of very good quality, you can clearly see that they are handmade. The shape is quite extreme, the handle being thick and the 'dou' part enormous. It took me a while getting used to the balance, but after a few days I found the shinai handled really nicely. The bamboo quality is good and the shinai lasted quite a while before splinters started to appear. I bought mine while they were on sale and the regular price seems a bit too high for me, but if money's no objection, why not give them a try?

they really feel great and they have a amazing balance, i used a standard dobare before and that was "nice" but with that one i can really feel like the hole shinai is in control from the grip to the kensen and it will serve me well for future tournament fights
thank you miyako for that shinai :=)

This Shinai are AWESOME!
I actually feel like they changed my Kendo. The part near the hands is huge, making deflecting strikes a cinch, and the kensen gives a nice solid 'pop' when I make my cuts!
I am DEFINATLEY going to use these for my upcoming 6th dan grading!
