Our headquarters have been based in Kyoto's district of Nishijin for many years now, an area of the city which has long been famous traditional tailoring, in particular in the production of Japanese Kimono. At our main store, we have a full team of former Kimono tailors and seemstresses who work each day to produce the best quality in Budo uniforms and wears.

The Miyako Kendogu Tailor-Made Kendo Hakama is the result of extensive research we have made throughout the years, and is therefore based on our perpetual awareness of the Hakama design and development.

Now, for the first time, we are offering you the possibility to own a completely tailor-made Hakama, made exclusively to your measurements and requirements.

Especially developed for use in Kendo, these Hakama feature a sturdy Koshi-ita, to give additional support to the lower-back and help encourage a correct posture.

PLEASE NOTE - Each of our Custom Hakama are completely made to order, by professional tailors and seamstresses here in Kyoto, Japan. Every effort is made to ensure that each garment is produced with the utmost care and attention, and no corners are cut in their manufacturing. For this reason, production usually takes around 4-6 weeks as standard. 

Please also consider that because the Miyako Kendogu Tailor-Made Kendo Hakama is a customised product, no returns will be accepted.

The best quality of hakama, not only it is beautiful, the hakama felt good to touch. My other cotton 10000 hakama which i bought from other site, is rough and stain my body turning me blue, and this is after repeatedly wearing and washing it. Plus it's more heavier than this 11,000 which theoretically shouldn't.

The best thing i like about this hakama is the ability to have it tailor to my size and modifying it to your taste. Highly recommended if other hakama doesn't fit or suit you.

Once again thanks to Andy for recommending it and being patient with me and my questions.

Beautiful fabric and custom tailored to fit perfectly. It feels light making it very comfortable to wear (and carry!). Even though it's made from synthetic materials, it keeps a beautiful shape unlike your common polyester hakama.
