Tozando Group Reward Scheme
We value every customer, and in the true Japanese way, we like to show our gratitude by rewarding our customers for their support and loyalty which helps the Tozando Group keep the spirit of Budo alive.
Now every time you make a purchase with us, you'll receive points based on your total purchase amount. The each point is worth 1 Japanese Yen, which can be used as discount towards your next purchase! It's that simple!
Here's how it works:
-
Once you've placed your order and it has shipped, your Reward Points will be applied to your point balance.
-
You can check your balance
- Once your balance reaches 1,000 or more simply enter the total amount you'd like to redeem.
-
Upon placing your next order, your new discount will automatically be deducted from the total purchase amount. Remember, each point is worth 1 Japanese Yen, so redeeming 1,000 Points (for example) will grant you 1,000 Japanese Yen discount from your next order!
F.A.Q
Who is eligible?
Everyone! All customers are automatically credited with Reward Points when their order is shipped! You can reveiw your Point Balance and redeem your points here.
How many Points do I get per order?
The reward system is very simple, you get 5 points for every 100 Japanese Yen you spend. Each point is worth 1 Yen worth of discount when it is redeemed. You are able to redeem points as soon as the order you earned them on is shipped!
But my country doesn’t use Japanese Yen… how does that affect my points?
The Tozando Group is based in Kyoto, Japan, and our trading currency is Japanese Yen. Because of this ALL purchases made on this site are in made in Japanese Yen. The currency conversion tool which is featured is there to provide you with a guide of how much your order will cost in your local currency. The Tozando Group Reward Program follows suit with the rest of the Tozando Group’s sites in this respect, and if you are using the currency conversion tool, then the discount you will receive from redeemed points will be shown as an approximation in your local currency.
If you are using the site using our currency conversion tool, then it may be easier to think of the Points as being worth 5% of your order value.
How long do the Points last?
They last forever! They are indefinite, and accumulate until they are redeemed, which means you can save them for as long as you want.
How do I know how many points I have? How do I redeem them?
Simply log into your account on the site, and click on the Tozando Group Reward Program link. This will take you to your Point Balance, and you will be able to redeem your Points on this page.
Alternatively you can click here.
Do I have to use them all at once?
No. You can redeem part of your Point Balance, or the whole thing at any time, it is up to you! The only caveat is that you must redeem a minimum of 1000 points at a time.
Can I spend my Points at other stores in the Tozando Group?
Yes! As long as you have a user account at the store you wish to redeem your points at, all you need to do is contact us before placing your order letting us know the following information –
- Your full name
- How many points you would like to transfer
- Your Miyako Kendogu Customer ID number
- Your Customer ID number for the store you would like transfer the points to
Once we receive that, we will transfer the points for you, and you will be able to redeem them at the other store. Stores in the Tozando Group which are currently participating in the Tozando Group Reward Scheme are as follows –
- Tozandoshop.com
- Bokkenshop.com
- Miyako Kendogu
- Nishijin Sword
- Wa-Fu Living
- Tozando Japanese Sword Store
So let me get this right, I buy something from Miyako Kendogu and receive Reward Points based on my order total, and then whenever I like I can redeem the points to get discount from my next order?
Yes, it is pretty much that simple! Lets look at an example –
If I place an order for a total of 20,000 Japanese Yen, when the order is shipped, my Point Balance will be credited with 1,000 Reward Points.
I then decide to place another order, and decide to redeem my points. So I log into my account, and redeem my 1,000 points. Then when I make my next order, 1,000 Japanese Yen is automatically deducted from the order total!
It’s worth pointing out here, that I won’t receive any Reward Points for the discounted order, and will only receive Reward Points for orders made which are not discounted through the scheme.
Can I pay for my entire order using credit from my Reward Points?
Yes, if the discount you will receive is enough to cover the entire value of the order you will not have to pay anything! However, please note – if 30% or more of the order total is paid for using redeemed Reward Points, then the order becomes NON-Refundable and NON-Returnable. Therefore we advise all customers using reward points to pay for more than 30% of their order to be extra-careful when selecting sizes and options.
I clicked the ‘Redeem Points’ button but my order total is less than the Points I redeemed… will I get the points back?
No, once Points have been redeemed, they will automatically be applied in full to the following order. If the order total is less than the Points redeemed, then the unused redeemed Points will be lost. Also it is worth noting that no cash alternative will ever be granted for the scheme’s reward Points. For further information, refer to our Terms and Conditions.
If me and another person both have reward Points, and place our order together, can we add them together to get a bigger discount?
No, the Point Balance is not transferable or combinable in this way.
OK so I want to place an order and use Points I have accumulated, when is the best time to actually redeem my Points?
The ideal time to actually redeem your Points is immediately before placing the order you wish to be discounted. This will make it easier for you to keep track of how many you redeemed, and ensure you get the best out of the program.
