I bought these kote as I was looking for a new pair of kote, but ones that weren't cheap. My old kote were cheap and lasted me 5 years, now it was time for the good stuff.
The service I got when choosing the options was fantastic but that's a well known fact with Miyako Kendogu.
They arrived two days after they were shipped.
The kote are a true work of art. Very light, and flexible. They fit me perfectly, a bit tight but that's meant to be at first.
I ordered the micro punch clarino tenouchi as I've heard nothing but good things about them. I used them for the first time the other day in Japan in a very hot and humid dojo, It's been a long time since I sweat this much, and the kote palms were dry when keiko was finished. My men is still wet, 2 days on.
All in all, the kote are amazing and I reccomend them to everyone!

I've got this pair as an extra. I practice and teach Kendo and am currently preparing for a promotion test.
I am impressed with its quality: The grip is excellent perhaps because it is hand-made from the scratch as confirmed by the Miyako staff who provided me with quality customer support. Indeed, as claimed by miyako, the craftsmanship is amazing (at least to my own eyes), even incomparable to other so-called hand-made kotes I have purchased from other on-line bogu shops around.
Improving the grip, this pair of kote itself helps me use more of the left hand and thus enable me to do better tennouchi. I recommend this pair of Kote to other Kendo players who might be in a dilemma which kote to choose (if you can afford this, then get it - worth of the money). I am glad I did.
