Budo Sakigake is proud to introduce you the exclusive Kendo Bogu of the next generation.

With the close technological co-operation with a major Japanese textile manufacturer, the new "INNER C-4®" has been invented, which is lighter in weight, more shock-absorbent and has the incredible quiality of forcing moisture out rather than retaining. The traditional Bogu padding is made of thick, heavy cotton that tends to absorb more sweat although it's functional in term of the shock-absorption. This Sakigake Bogu uses a 50/50 mix of cotton and the INNER C-4® that dries quickly after use, and as the result, it prevents the build-up of odor-creating bacteria. There is even more about the INNER C-4®. The combination of the 50/50 mixture enables to prolong the life of padding itself and eventually, the Bogu with the INNER C-4® lasts longer than the conventional Bogu.

Another feature of this new Bogu is "I-LEATHER®" which is a new variety of completely synthetic leather. The I-LEATHER® dries much quicker than the traditional deerskin used in most of Kendo Bogu and lasts longer. It, for example, reduces the frequency in which Kote have to be re-palmed, and has done away with the "post-KEIKO fist fragrance" that has always been an accepted fact of life in Kendo. On this deluxe version of Sakigake Bogu the I-LEATHER® is also fully used inside the Men, Kote and Tare to maximize the special feature.

Another particularly unhygienic part of the Bogu is inside the Men where saliva gets sprayed over the Mengane. The Titanium-made Mengane used in this Sakigake Bogu is coated with an extremely resilient anti-bacetrial coating used to keep medial instruments sterile. All germs are completed eraducated as teh saliva makes contact with the coated bar.
